ASEMPA GROUP


Above is a picture of a group called Asempa in the fishing community of Aboadze in the Shama Ahanta East Metropolis (Western Region)This group is led by Mary Awortwe and its comprises of six people including the leader..
The occupation of the members of this grouping is petty trading and fish mongering.On the 8th of July, 2010 African Gate Financial Support provided them with an amount of GHC 600 and they successfully made this payment within 5 weeks including an additional grace period of one (1) week without defaulting.

Their second loan was granted to them on the 19th August, 2010 and the approved amount was GHC 1,200.00.This group is looking forward for their third loan which will obviously increase because we have now built confidence in them and are impressed with their line of trading.At African Gate Financial Support we believe in building the profile of our clients so we don’t give the amount you request for, but rather look at the type of business you are into and the income you generate from you business, this is because we want our client to be be able to pay off their loans with ease.

Josephine Dadzie owns a bookshop she came to us and asked for a loan to update her stock. Stationeries are constantly refreshed due to the high demand of them when school re-opens. Josephine Dadzie was struggling with working capital to ensure that enough supplies were available to the customers. The owner was granted the loan and the business has since increased it sales volume.

Our clients imports rice,tomato paste and vegatable oil and distribute it to peaple who sells it on retail basis.African Gate Financial Support in our quest to serve the economic needs of the Indigenous African provided a loan of GHc10,000 to this clients to import more goods

This used car dealer needed working capital to renovate and repair his cars before selling them on. African Gate Financial support was able to help out with a small loan to make sure that the cars were repaired and sold out quickly.

This is a restaurant where our client sells food to the general public. She started on a push cart but now with the assistant of African Gate Financial Support she has been able to obtain a place where her customers can buy and eat their meals

This is a used electronic shop. Its a shop that buys old refurmished electronics and sells them. The owner who is our client requested for a loan to increase his capital base because of the high demand for the goods at the market. We were glad to put a smile on his face. 

 
Tailor [5/8/2009]

One success story in Takoradi is a local tailor that started doing T-shirt designs. His designs become popular and he started producing T-shirts for Coca-Cola and Shell. After receving large orders for T-shirts he quickly needed to hire more staff and buy more sewing machines to increase his production. African Gate Financial support was able to help with with a short term loan for the business to continue to expand.

Electronic hardware supplier [3/7/2009]


On the third of July African Gate Financial support approved a loan of GHC 2,500 to a electronic hardware supplier. The money will be used to increase the level of stock in the shop. The shop owner had experienced a stronger demand for commerical electronic hardware supplies but was often turned down at point of purchase as the limited stock often meant that the deliver time would be too long and the customer would as a result often try to get the supplies from somewhere else.
